Since the 21 th century,there have been more and more large-scale engineering related to slope as China develops its economy rapidly,while slope unstability happening occasionally.Thus people lay much emphasis on its stability.In the past,analyzing slope stability adopts generalized likelihood uncertainty estimation.Then the slope is a highly-complex system,whose parameters of rock and soil mechanics can't be precisely measured and can only be set between a relatively-accurate interval value.Thus,it is impossible to accurately reflect the slope to be stable or not with generalized likelihood uncertainty estimation and it is rather necessary to introduce interval analysis to analyze its stability.This paper studies application of interval analysis in analyzing slope stability basically,with the following contents:(1)It briefly explains the fundamentals of interval analysis and introduces different solutions to linear interval equations,as well as analyzes causes of and solutions to interval extension existing in interval arithmetic.(2)Based on rigid body limit equilibrium method,it derives Sweden slice method and Bishop method safety factor in combination with interval arithmetic principles,as well as optimizes the derived formula in principle of a lot of mixed data.With one specific analysis example,it proves the optimized formula can solve stability of accurate slope engineering effectively.(3)By combining neural network predictor with interval mathematics,it derives the neural network predictor based on interval analysis,and with one specific analysis example,proves the safety factor interval value of slope can be accurately calculated via this method.(4)By combining interval mathematics with finite element,it forms finite element method based on interval analysis.In consideration of extension problem of linear interval equations,it also improves to form interval finite element method based on certainty finite element method.By analyzing big rock landslide engineering,it verifies feasible application of interval finite element method in practical slope engineering.
