Space-based infrared warning system is an important part of the missile defense system.Multiple infrared detectors equipped on different orbit satellites used by early warning system work together to detect and track targets.During the early warning and detection process,earth limb and cirrus background have a great influence on the imaging effect of the infrared detector.In this paper,a simulation software of space-based infrared warning imaging is designed focusing on the radiation characteristics of cirrus and earth limb background in infrared band of 2.63μm 2.85μm and 4.21μm 4.95μm.With the help of satellite and missile orbit parameters,real-time imaging simulation of missile in boost and mid phase is realized.Imaging Simulation of infrared warning system can be used to evaluate the detection performance of infrared early warning system,improve the penetration ability of ballistic missile,and can also be used in the design and improvement of infrared early warning system.The main contents of this paper include three parts:(1)The thermal radiation and radiation transmittance parameters of the Earth limb background are calculated using Modtran software.The effects of different latitudes,seasons,aerosol patterns and solar azimuths to Earth limb radiation characteristics are analyzed.(2)The single scattering properties of the cirrus are calculated by using the effective scale parameter and the MIE scattering theory.The reflection properties of the cirrus are studied by using the bidirectional reflection function in the case of multiple scattering.Combined with the emissivity of the cirrus which related to optical thickness,the radiation model of the cirrus is designed.(3)Based on the Open GL graphics interface and OSG rendering framework,the real-time simulation software of the space-based infrared warning detector against point targets with Earth limb and cirrus background is realized.The STK tool is used to realize the orbit realtime calculation of the missiles and satellites.The real-time rendering model for radiation of cirrus and Earth limb is established.With the help of pre-computed texture and geometry model of Earth,cirrus and earth limb,the imaging simulation of the boost and middle phase missile is present in real-time.
