| Planetary gear drive has many advantages, such as compact structure, high transmission efficiency, large carrying capacity and so on. Hence, it is extensively applied in automotive gearbox, aero-engine, coal mine machinery, ships and lifting transportation and other fields. Based on the gear manuals and national standards, the traditional method of design planetary gear obtain a set of scheme by preliminary design and strength check, which meet the requirements. In order to determine the value of majority coefficients, numerous formulas, tables and curves need to be calculated or queried throughout the design and verification process, increasing the design difficulty and much errors. In addition, the design scheme of traditional method has a certain degree of strength redundancy, resulting in a certain degree of material waste, which doesn’t meet the trend of modern lightweight design. Therefore, parametric design and optimization of planetary gear is of great significance for its further popularization.Based on the parametric design idea, the calculation process and steps of parameterization design of NGW planetary gears are introduced in detail, including the selection of teeth and modulus, modification coefficient distribution and the calculation of other geometric parameters and meshing parameters.Contact strength and bending strength all meet the requirements, which are Taken as checking criterion, the strength checking process and condition, and the corresponding strength calculation formulas of internal and external meshing pair are analyzed. The calculation coefficient of the formula is analyzed and summarized, which reduces the workload of verification and speeds up the checking speed.Based on the basic optimization theory and optimization algorithm provided by MATLAB , the accurate optimization model of NGW planetary gear is established,which consider the number of teeth, modulus and pressure angle as the optimization variables, the minimum center distance or volume as optimization objective, and the size constraint and the strength requirement as the constraint condition. Study on the principle and process of precise constraint optimization, and the concrete realization method in the MATLAB, the key geometric parameters and the intensity constraint coefficients of the NGW planetary gear are updated in real time with the change of the independent optimization variables, and the optimization is more thorough.Taking Visual Studio 2005 as development platform, the parametric design calculation, intensity checking and optimization of NGW planetary gears are programmed, and the dynamic link library compiled by MATLAB are called by main program. Finally, the design, verification and optimization functions are encapsulated into NGW planetary gear transmission design and optimization system. The system integration is high, the portability is strong, the operation is easy and the optimization is complete. |
