In recent years, natural disaster frequently occurred on a global scale. Our country is no exception,the earthquake,debris flow, flood and landslide have been a threat to our lives and property. These have produced a great influence to the development of our country. We still can’t forget the violent earthquake in Wenchuan and Yushu. In the rescue work of the earthquake, the rescue vehicles play an irreplaceable role as the crucial strength of the rescue of earthquake.Even so, the rescue vehicle also exposed many problems in the rescue. The problems, such as the large size of rescue vehicle, poor road adaptability, old rescue equipment and other issues have seriously affected the efficiency of rescue work.Nowadays,pay attention to human safety and product experience has become more and more important in design of product innovation. With the development of technology,whether the problems reflected in the rescue vehicle can be solved and how to solve these question have become the focus of the design. In the course of writing, this paper deeply studies the theory of earthquake rescue and the theory of product innovation. And analyze the current situation of the earthquake rescue and rescue vehicles developments. Then do some research about the function of the rescue vehicle on the market and talk about the development trend and functional requirements of the new rescue vehicles, and make a detailed analysis rescue about the work environment of the rescue vehicles.The new rescue vehicle has small size, modular layout. The rescue vehicle can load the appropriate equipment according to the scene of the accident. This way can avoid carrying useless equipment, improve the utilization of storage space. The new rescue vehicle has a good off-road capability. The equipment on the rescue vehicle can meet the rescue, logistics and medical needs. The principle and method of man-machine engineering is applied in the vehicle design.
