Building is a unified whole composed of structural components and non-structural components together, and its performance level is also comprehensively reflected through the two components. However, the study on the performance index of frame structures considering nonstructural components both at home and aborad is not mature enough and lacking the method of determining the overall performance index of the whole building structures. It is obviously that the requirements of the overall seismic performance design of the building can not be satified, and the seismic performance of frame structures with filled walls can not be reasonably evaluated. In this paper, the typical nonstructural components—infilled wall is taken as an example to study the performance of the frame structure with infilled walls from the perspective of the damage rate of the components. The seismic performance of the frame structures with infilled walls is compared with that of the ordinary frames which is not considering the effect of infill walls by means of the seismic vulnerability study,so as to achieve the target of rationally controlling the overall seismic performance of the frame structure with infilled walls. In addition,it can lay the basis for further improving the overall performance-based seismic design method of the building structures including non-structural components. There are four aspects discussed in this paper, and they are as follows:1.The model of frame structures with infilled walls is established, which adopted fiber model for beam and column components and equivalent bracing model for infilled walls. The simulation results of the three kinds of models are verified by three examples in the literature, and the most suitable model is selected as the infilled wall analysis model.2.The research on structural performance index and component performance index of both overseas and domestic are summarized, and the performance index of infilled wall components by research is given. At the same time, the damage level parameters of the structural and non-structural components in the frame structure were quantified and the overall performance of the structure was provided, which was obtained through the component-level performance,at different structural performance levels.3.Based on the previous two studies,A 6-story frame structure is designed, using the "Code for Seismic Design of Buildings "(GB50011-2010).The specific performance index parameters of beam, column and infilled walls in the frame of examples are calculated. Then, from the point of view of the damage rate of components, the overall failure state of the structure is evaluated synthetically by the failure rate of the structural components and non-structural components. The overall performance index of the example structure based on the component performance level is obtained.4.By using IDA method, seismic fragility of frame structures is analyzed, and the vulnerability of frame structure with infilled walls and ordinary frame structure are calculated and compared with the difference,it can be seen that the frame structure considering effect of infill walls and the ordinary frame structure can meet the minimum seismic fortification requirements of " No damage in minor earthquakes,Mendable in moderate earthquakes,No collapsing in major earthquakes." under different evaluation indexes. However,by using the conventional index, the seismic performance of frame structure considering effect of infill walls is overestimated and the seismic hazard of the structure is increased; The ordinary framework is conservative when the performance of the filling walls is not taken into account, and the seismic capacity of the structure is underestimated. In this paper, the performance level of the structure under different failure modes is obtained from the point of view of component performance, and the seismic performance of frame structure considering effect of infill walls can be better evaluated.
