The Research Of Chinese Contemporary Urban Public Space Based On Literature Statistics

Urban public space is an important part of city. It can reflect not only the characteristics of city but also the different features of the city in different period. At the same time, it is the practice results of architecture, urban planning and other disciplines. However, since urban public space theory was introduced into China from The West, it has not received much attention. From the existing theoretical research,there are few books on Chinese urban public space theory, most of the papers also focus on the description of different types of space and there are little to summarize and analyze the development process.Based on the above statements, this article hopes to make some research on the development process from more objective and different perspectives. The journal paper is the most suitable literature type to reflect the dynamics of research for its large amount of information,widespread influence and timeliness of the research. With the help of literature analysis on the research of the papers about urban public space,we can realize the basic understanding of the development of urban public space. This article starts with the conception of urban public space, then decides the sample journals, time period and methods. Through the analysis of external characteristics and content of the papers, the objective law of the development of urban public space is finally obtained. Combined with the development background in China, this article analyzes the reasons for the results and expounds the research trends.The innovation of this article is that, with the help of CiteSpace software, more objective and reliable results are obtained. After the vertical and horizontal comparison, this article analysis and makes the conclusion which combines the quantitative analysis and qualitative assessment around the urban space research, practical operation,evaluation system and academic trends. This article combs the development of Chinese urban public space in the past 35 years and excavates the hotspots in different time periods and existing problems.It also supplements and deepens the research of Chinese urban public space,so as to provide a useful reference for future development and practice.
