Wind energy is a clean, safe, renewable green energy; the use of wind energy has the advantages of no pollution to the environment and no damage on the ecological. Wind energy’s peculiarities, the environmental protection and ecological benefits, are of great significance to the sustainable development of human society. The adjustment of energy structure, reducing greenhouse gas emissions,alleviating environment pollution and strengthening energy security have become hot concerns all over world now. The China has given great attention on the use of renewable energy, especially wind energy development.This article is mainly about the research that the key technology of wind turbine Generator system under typhoon condition. In this paper, the current research status of anti-typhoon wind turbine is analyzed both local and abroad. Investigation, collection and statistical analysis of typhoon data had been done in China’s coastal areas to establish the typhoon wind model;Secondly,the typhoon environment load cases according to the typhoon characteristic dates are designed, and the typhoon control strategy is developed, then the operation mode of the units when typhoon comes is improved to make sure the unit is in a minimum state of stress;Furthermore, the wind turbine unit and main structures have been calculated in the typhoon working conditions through the software Bladed, the design margin is improved and the tower is redesigned. At last, the typhoon wind turbine prototype is installed, the field load test is used to carry out in one wind farm, and the results are compared with the simulation results to verify the rationality of the design of anti-typhoon wind turbine.The main research contents are as follow:In chapter 1, discusses the background of the research, the research status, significance and research content of the typhoon wind turbine.In chapter 2, the basic form and the basic principle of the wind turbine generator set are introduced, and the key techniques in the research are analyzed.In chapter 3, describe the structure and formation of typhoon, the turbulence characteristics of typhoon and the gust coefficient of the maximum wind once in 50 years are obtained by analysis the statistical data of typhoons in China coast. At the same time,turbulence model for wind turbine is studied; the turbulence model of the typhoon and the extreme wind speed model are researched to establish the wind model of typhoon in theory.chapter 4, the load source and calculation method of wind turbine are described, the typhoon environment load cases are designed according to the typhoon characteristic data,the typhoon Control Strategy is developed, the wind turbine unit and main structures have been calculated in the typhoon working conditions through the software Bladed, the design margin have been improved and the tower is redesigned. Compared with the wind turbine designed based on the the experience, the base load of optimized tower reduces by 22.6% and the weight is reduces by 16.7%, the wind turbine based on the typhoon environment load cases has a good economic benefits.In chapter 5 the equipment and the requirements of field test with the control strategy are described and the prototype is installed for the field test. The test dates are compared with the wind turbine’s test dates which is designed based on the experience and the theoretical value, to validate the consistency between the test and simulation design.In chapter 6, the main research contents of this paper are summarized and the future work is presented. |
