Long baseline acoustic positioning system can achieve the goal of navigation and positioning. In this paper, the portable underwater acoustic instrution transceiver is one of the basic components of the system.Portable underwater acoustic instrution transceiver is a kind of portable communications equipment, can be easily connected with transducer on the ship deck, realize the control and communication of underwater equipment.In this paper,the specific tasks are as follows:1?Design the hardware platform of portable underwater acoustic instruction transceiver,and transplant the embedded Linux operating system.2?Study the self-adaptive notch filter, which will be applied to decode the received signal.3?Design the Qt developing environment, and write the display and control software for portable underwater acoustic instruction transceiver, this software has some functions:realizing the transfer of signal,show transponder's status,control file storage and transmission, display signal waveform, etc.With the pool and lake experiment, results show that the function of each part of this system achieves the expected target, thus proving the validity and reliability of the system design.
