Study On The Ming Dynasty Survival Of Qiyuan Rockery

QiYuan as a few well-preserved classical Zhejiang garden,is infrequent for its sale and rockery design.It was regarded as one of the "China garden top ten famous".QiYuan has a very important significance,whether to study gardening theory or the history of garden.In this paper,we focus on the rockery of Qiyuan,and dig into its origin.Through the investigation and comparative study of Jiangnan private garden,we can analysis the shan-shui situation and rockery feature of Qiyuan.The distinctive characteristics of Qiyuan rockery,is not only echoed the change of appreciation ways after late Ming dynasty,but also has the rockery style of Jiangnan garden during early Ming dynasty.Moreover,this survival of Ming dynasty,is not only the witness of Qiyuan's history that form Ming dynasty to today,but also the legacy of the gardening art caused by regionalism.Studying the historical legacy of Qiyuan rockery will help us to change the ancient impression of the rockery art of Jiangnan private garden,and provide a richer understanding and referential significance for Contemporary rockery art.
