In evacuation of public places, the adequately personnel safety of building can be predicted in plan and design phase through computer virtual simulation, and provide a basis of architectural design and furnishings for early detecting the impact of interior layout and the number of personnel in terms of evacuation process.In this paper, some basic models include the classroom, cafeteria and academic building in campus are discussed for the process of personnel emergency evacuation, the relationship between evacuation time and the number, position of exit and walking paths of persons is achieved.Through the theory of Cellular Automatam, the static and dynamic floor field model of evacuation space and the people's displacement laws in evacuation are built. The Genetic Algorithm and Cellular Automata model are combined, based on evacuation path, the selection of optimal paths has been achieved.The models of overall layout of classroom,cafeteria and building are built by using the three-dimensional digital modeling software UG and process simulation software QUEST,then define the logical events of personnel evacuation by using Cellular Automata floor field model and the functional modules of software. Under the conditions of different export,location, number of personnel and walking paths, the process of evacuation is simulated and the data of simulation is analysed. Finally we have obtained the relationship between the number of exit and evacuated time, the congestion number of people, and the optimal paths of improving efficiency of evacuation.In this paper, according to the environment of evacuation, the number of people which come from different stairs for evacuating is configured by using Genetic Algorithm to calculate fitness value and choice probability, make it reach the optimal evacuating paths and the minimum evacuating time. Then the feasibility and practicality of using genetic algorithm in the evacuating process has been proven through computer simulation.
