Research On Public Space Of Zhoukou Shaying River

Compared with other urban space,Riverside public space,as an essential part of urban public space system,is characterized by dense natural elements,abundant natural process,complex and diverse ecological structure,and provide diversified public places of life and improve the ecological environment,which reflect local distinctive advantages.As many other cities,Zhoukou originated and flourished from water.Lying outside the city,Shahe,Ying River,Jia Lu River runs intersectivly through the city and formed into the structure,of which one river runs through the city,both riversides are expanded and the whole layout of city is interacted with rivers.It is river that makes the city more energetic and fill with vitality,vice versa,the history and distinctive local custom embodied in rivers are flourishing owning to the development of city.Since the reform and opening up,with the rapid development of urbanization in Zhoukou,Shaying River has become the core area of urban development and construction and the traditional public space of it is gradually eroded by a series of rigid,utilitarian water conservancy,bridge engineering,residential development,and road construction.Due to the lack of the overall planning guidance of construction,and absence of an effective ecological compensation mechanism,the ecology of original public places of riversides are seriously damaged,and gradually followed by the hidden risks.Based on this background,the specific research on investigation of the current situation of the construction of public space in Shaying River was carried on from the problem of theoretical understanding,to the researching method of practical designing,and the perspective of both theoretical and practical design of urban design of the river public space on Shaying River Public Space.Based on the theory of urban space and waterfront,this paper analyzes and summarizes the current situation and shortcomings of the related research,so as to determine the entry point and the target of research.By using the systematic theory to analyze urban space,public space,waterfront,Riverside public space and other related concepts and their types,the constituent elements,functional characteristics were classified and summarized.Through concerning with the development of the public space of the Shaying River in Zhoukou,this paper summarizes the spatial relationship between the space and the evolution of Shaying River.At the same time,the developing trend of the public space of Shaying River is discussed with the overall planning of Zhoukou city.The research contain the characteristics of a clear positioning,goals of promotion,direction,layout in Zhoukou city space in the future development of the overall situation,strategic status.Through the field investigation of the current situation of the natural environment,human environment,traffic situation,hydrophilic space,and riverside construction of the Shaying River public space,the paper puts forward some problems existing in the present situation of space,as following: the lack of overall planning guidance,contact with the urban spatial system,systematic space,continuity,uneven distribution,single functional form,ecological environment deteriorating,hydrophilic and flood prevention between the contradictions,cultural connotation,and public activity type monotonous and so on.On the basis of the theoretical research and the analysis of these problems,this paper puts forward the conceptual design concept of "one axis,three zones and multi-line" for the construction of the public space of Shaying River in Zhoukou urban space development.On the whole spatial structure,in order to strengthen the city and the coastal space connection,to achieve the integration of urban spatial structure and the integration of urban space structure,the ecological environment,and the establishment of three sub-landscape axis,six ecological green gallery are settled.The city just carry the reasonable adjustment of the network network level and function,the organic organization of the car line,walking,water traffic to build a continuous,systematic transport system,which are closely combined with the characteristics of the Shaying River's shoreline and the construction of the status quo.The site conditions,combination of traditional culture,river culture,traditional folk arts and crafts,are all taken into account in order to satisfy the needs of the surrounding residents,to provide people with cultural,entertaining,sports,and so on.It is a kind of cultural and recreational environment other public activity organizations.Riverside public space long-term integration into urban life,not only shape the city's material space form,but also carries a wealth of historical and cultural accumulation,embodies the city's cultural spirit.Shaying River public space not only should pay more attention to the historical context of the city,the traditional folk customs inheritance,create a good material space environment,reflect the deeper Level of regional cultural connotation,linking history and culture and modern life;More studies should focus on its relationship with urban space,organic integration into the urban space system,the city public space system to become the continuation and perfection;to meet the needs of modern urban space development.
