Currently,new energy generations and smart grid are developed rapidly,which challenges the centralized power supply mode of the traditional large grid.As a supplement to the centralized power supply,distributed generations can effectively alleviate environmental pollution and energy shortages,and improve reliability and safety of the main grid.It is the new development direction of the power industry all over the world.With large-scale connection of distributed generations,the optimal allocation problem of distributed generations in the distribution network becomes a research hotspot.In this paper,current researches at home and abroad on the optimal allocation of distributed generations in the distribution network are illustrated.The characteristics and power supply model of distributed generations are introduced,as well as the power flow calculation method of the distribution network with distributed generations.The effect on the power loss of distributed network is analyzed by the network loss calculation model.Besides,the effect on voltage,power quality,relay protection and planning of distributed network is analyzed.An optimal allocation model is built to maximize annul economic benefits of the distributed network including the network loss costs,electricity purchase costs,installation costs,power outage cost and pollutant discharge costs,under the system power flow constraint,node voltage constraint,capacity constraint and so on.The traditional particle swarm optimization algorithm is introduced.Besides,chaos search is introduced to improve the weakness of traditional particle swarm optimization algorithm and vilified by numerical test.The chaos particle swarm optimization algorithm is adopted to solve the optimal allocation problem.And the correctness and validity of the proposed method is proved by the IEEE 33 node system simulation example.The proposed method can reasonably solve the location and capacity optimization problem of distributed generations in distribution network.The distributed power system network loss is reduced effectively,and the annual economic benefit of distribution network is enhanced,which is meaningful to the planning of distribution network with distributed generations.
