There are large amounts of radioactive substances during normal operations and shutdown times in nuclear plant,so how to predict the source strength and radiation field distribution and how to prepare working in advance are the most important things for radiation protection.The technology of radiation field efficient calculation and visualization is combined with computer aided design,reactor physics,radiation protection and shield design,computer graphics,human-computer interaction,virtual simulation and so on.This article is studied by radiation protection working scene and analysis,and the main work and innovations are as follows:(1)Radiation field can be calculated accurately and quickly is the key to realize radiation field calculation and visualization,so the dose in virtual environment must be synchronous with dose in real nuclear plant.We have innovatively proposed a method for source strength reverse calculation based on least square method and pointkernel integration and iteration weighting function,considering the detectors in nuclear plant which are used for monitoring of real-time dose,so we can get source strength without direct contact and eliminate the errors caused by uncertainties of detectors.And,we have developed an advanced point-kernel integration program for large-scale radiation field calculation by analyzing the defects of existing programs and introducing the human-computer interaction interface,parallel computation,the new calculation method and database and so on,which can meet the stringent requirements of radiation field efficient calculation and visualization simulation.(2)We have developed a set of efficient calculation and visualization simulation system ARShield for the radiation field in nuclear plant by investigating the development of present situation and the computer technology for the purpose of radiation protection and shield design.This system is composed of computer aided forward and reverse modeling,source strength and radiation field efficient calculation,radiation field visualization and engineering simulation,so it can provide services for the scheme design and optimization in nuclear plant.
