It's a key problem to decrease the unnecessary radiation exposure of maintenance personnel in nuclear industry, especially during the overhaul, maintenance and highly difficult decommissioning of nuclear facilities. The science of visualization of radiation field mixes virtual reality technology and radiation protection technology together,so it can simulate dose rate distribution of radiation field by computer.As one of efficient methods to reduce radiation exposure of maintenance personnel,the visualization of radiation field is famous for its intuitionism, machine interaction, high transparency and maneuverability.The rapid calculation of dose rate for mass of points is a point to realize the visualization of radiation field.On account of this problem, based on a international universal point-kernel integral computer code—QAD-CG, some optimizing and improvement are made to develop a new point-kernel integral computer code, which is suitable for dose rate calculation in visualization of radiation field at a high rate of speed.This new code composed of one main code and two subsidiary code is easier to operate; it breaks the limits of number of dose calculated points,so the user can set multiple points to describe space model with detail; it developes a smart module, which can acquire the coordinate of dose points,and improves efficiency through avoiding manual work;also,the new code introduces parallel algorithm to accelerate for the first time.After strict module test and integration test, this paper calculates dose rate distribution of NB281room of Daya Bay by new code,and contrast the results between the new code and MCNP4C. It can be seen that:on the one hand,the biggest relative error is27percent between them;on the other hand,the CPU time spent in new code is only one-tenth of MCNP4C. So the new rapid calculation code for dose rate distribution has initially shown the capability to supply timely and precise basic data for visualization platform of radiation field.
