Saving resources and protecting the environment is China's basic national policy,Because the energy resource is characterized as “rich coal,less oil,less gas”,China's primary energy consumption structure is dominated by coal,at the same time,it also brings the problems of air pollution such as dust,SO2,NOx and so on.Speeding up the clean and efficient use of coal is an important measure to save resources and protect the environment.In China's coal consumption structure,the power generation is the most important mode of coal consumption,and the proportion of thermal power accounts for about50%,Hebei province is one of the provinces where has large coal consumption and the capacity of the coal fired generator,is also the most serious air pollution areas of PM2.5,Hebei's annual coal consumption is about 300 million tons,among them,the coals used for coal power is about 1 million tons,accounting for about 30% of the total coal consumption in Hebei province.Although coal-fired power generation is the most clean and efficient use of coal,but the use of coal has also brought the air pollution problems,at the same time,due to the non-renewable nature of coal resources,it has become an important research direction to improve the utilization efficiency of coal and reduce the heat loss of flue gas.In this paper,a 300 MW coal-fired thermal power unit in Hebei province is selected as the research object,by examining waste heat utilization technologies,analyzing results of energy conservation and emission reduction efforts and demonstrating typical projects.The results show that the use of waste heat utilization technologies will considerably conserve energy and reduce emission,where coal consumption for power supply is cut by 1.5g/kWh,standard coal and water consumption are reduced by 2377 tons and 21.8 tons respectively every year.The efficiency of the electrostatic precipitator is increased from 99.83% to 99.90%,and the dust emission concentration decreased from 17mg/m3 to11.68 mg/m3,with annual dust emission cut by 31.1 tons.Technological studies and practices in this field is based on the resource endowment and environmental constraints of China,the breakthroughs of which will help the provinces with high coal consumption and installed coal-fired power generation capacities to improve energy efficiency and reduce pollution,and enhance the air quality of Hebei province and China as a whole.
