With the rapid development of urban and constructions, architects are forced to face several problems emerged from the relationship between architectures and urban, which involves the insufficient of urban space, the disconnection of architectures and urban, the losing of belonging and joy.As a connection node between urban and architectures,“boundary space” does conduct a significant role in their connection. Therefore, urban should be fully used to enhance the connections and enrich the spatial layers. At the same time,it could be used as a public space for social communication, relaxing, vitality, mind satisfaction and even promoting attraction of the city.Being related to urban environment and outdoor activities, boundary space, which has its own features,is a component of urban and also a coordinator.Based on the study on loci construct of boundary space, this thesis goes deeply into relevant theories and practice,so as to figure out how boundary space could benefit us humans, urban environment, relationship coordinator and sustainable development. This thesis starts with the definition of conception, meaning, structure, genius and construct of loci,at the same time describing the notion of boundary space and its due extent.By analysis of the meaning, extent, components, content and noumenon of loci theories, this thesis illuminates the effects and meanings of loci construct of boundary space. Finally,it proposed three main strategies emerged on form, function and perception generation of boundary space,in order to put forward a right direction and guidance that deals with the problems of architecture, urban environment and human perception in design practice.
