Eyes On international underwater vehicle AUV、UUV’s development trend,they are moving towards miniaturization, low power consumption and flexibility direction. Equipped with multi-beam bathymetric sonar on underwater vehicle has become one of the mainstream of development.This paper is based on the above background, the design and implementation of a submarine sonar multibeam bathymetric embedded control software.This paper is mainly for data storage and embedded control.Select with TI’s OMAPL138 chip as the main chip, to achieve multi-channel signal data storage, and control platform running state. ARM as the main chip, Firstly connect with the host computer through the Ethernet port for communication.Parameter passed to the DSP processor through the PC control, secondly DSP processor put the raw data and results back to the ARM processor. The raw data and results are saved to the SATA harddisk and USB Flash by theARM processor.When need to process and analysis, it transfer data to the host machine by the network port.Paper fisrt design the overall argument combined with the potential project demand. Do a detailed scrutiny from the selection of the device, the interface and the reasonableness of the use of the indicators respectively.Under this premise, the various development environments were set up,including the development environmnet of CCS (Code Composer Studio),the Linux operating system for ARM, and the DSP/BIOS LINK for achieving two dual-core communications;To satisfied the large amount of data and high-speed storage needs, SATA interface driver and USB interface driver should be compiled into the Linux kemel;To satisfied the demand for a separate debugging, the debugging software should be editing by Qt framework; To satisfied the embedded device to communicate with the host computer, the host computer needs to use Visual C++ developers display and control software.At last, after the submarine multi-beam bathymetric sonar embedded control software design is completed, the entire software control platform has been simulated and tested,verify the stability of the equipment and the feasibility of demonstration scheme. Contents of the research projects summarized and proposed some measures to improve the system. It will be a follow-up technical reserve for the subsequent project.
