For further grasping the status of the device in the process of operation and determining whether it totally or locally is normal or abnormal, then identifying or evaluating the reason,location,dangerous level,and the diagnosis to the device is necessary. The purpose of the fault diagnosis technology mainly embody avoiding the occurrence of accident as possiable,decreasing accident shutdown and reducing maintenance cost,then guaranteeing safety production,protecting environment and saving energy.To meet the needs of being portable and digital,we apply OMAP5912 from TI as the main processor of the fault diagnosis machine.OMAP5912,widely used in intelligent mobile phones,combines the TMS320C55x DSP core with a TI-enhanced ARM926EJ-S processor to provide the optimal balance of high performance and low power consumption necessary for these device. Let the efficiency of OS and the signal processing program more optimal.The real-task is done by DSP while the un-real time and the system tasks control are completed by the ARM,then making the power consumption lowest and successfully resolving the optimum combination of the properties and consumption.OMAP5912 Starter Kit(OSK) launched by Texas Instruments Inc is selected as the hardware development platform while embedded Linux operation system as the software development platform. Based on the introduction of the software architecture of OMAP,the design of OS(operation system)and the downloads of the bootloader,the configuration are completed.We developed the application of the modern fault diagnosis technology depending on the Linux operating systemm. and constructed embedded Linux cross-development environment and DSP development environment based on DSP/BIOS making preparation for the development of dual-core communications applications. We can realize the data and command exchange between the dual-core using the DSP Gateway bridge software.This paper describes in detail the realization of the ceptrum transform on the OMAP platform and represents the program run result by figure.We accomplish the application of the modern signal processing methods on the dual-core processor.The last part is the conclusion of this thesis and some suggestions for further research.
