In the era of today's warfare informationization, whether we can obtain the underwater battlefield information timely and comprehensively is the key to the war. It is an urgent issue in paradrop sonobuoy design that how to obtain more accurate data, achieve lower cost and have better detection performance. In this dissertation, a low cost vector sensor is designed which has some characteristics such as low cost, accurate positioning and high signal to noise ratio. The build-in vector hydrophone can measure four dimensional information as sound pressure and particle vibration velocity simultaneously, which can obtain experimental data quickly and display real-time location information.This dissertation completes the sonobuoy system construction through designing three parts: design of sonobuoy structure,design of information processing circuit and design of display and control platform. In the design of sonobuoy construction, the calculation method of stability of the sonobuoy is given, and the system ensures stability of the sonobuoy through balancing quality and volume of each part. In direction finding algorithm design of sonobuoy system, the average sound intensity direction finding formula and gain is deduced,and the direction finding algorithm is determined. In design of information processing circuit, the implement circuit of average sound intensity detector and signal acquisition circuit are given. This circuit is core with low power consumption of MSP430, cooperate with amplification, filter, analog multiplier and integral circuit, which is consist of the system circuit.By the way of wireless data transmission, the data collected by the sonobuoy will transmit back to the receiver. At last, design the real-time display control software,and utilize the VC++ to realize monitoring the. target orientation in a variety of ways.At last the test result of sonobuoy system is presented. It can be seen the sonobuoy which is designed can flat floating on the water,at the same time it can acquire the sound field information and deal with it then monitoring the target orientation.
