The aircraft catapult of aircraft carrier is a very important system. It helps the aircraft catapult of aircraft carrier take off smoothly in a short distance. The steam jet ejector pushes the slide to work through the steam boiling water in closed environment. In this process,when the value of pressure reaches the value to reduce pressure in the closed environment, the water appears to boil again which is called a flash evaporation. The flash evaporation usually occurs in a short time, and then it is hard to be observed or measure. So it plays a very important role in industry. This thesis studies flash evaporation and then focuses on the trend of the bubble change in the liquid, in order to predict the flash evaporation phenomena in liquid. In this thesis,we use CCD to obtain images of liquid changing in a short time. And then,we obtain the binary images in order to predict the bubbles changes in liquid.In the process of binary images, because the existing method of binary images focuses on processing the images one by one while the obtaining images are a sequence of images,we propose some new methods of binary images. In our methods, the threshold of binary images is selected by considering both the target and the background in order to obtain precise results.And then,based on the statistical analysis,we use the Gaussian fitting method to process the binary image, and then construct the relation of images and liquid. At last, we predict the flash evaporation.
