As one kind of renewable energy, tidal energy has great potential for application. China bears a lot of tidal current energy resources, there can be tremendous potential for development in this field. The mainly use of tidal current energy is electricity generation, we need the load carrying structure of turbine and other devices to turn kinetic energy into electrical energy.Now some tidal power stations have been completed in the corners of the world,its foundation structure types mainly in three forms-floating moored system,pile mounted system and seabed mounted/ gravity based system. Floating moored system is popular due to its convenient installation and maintenance. Tidal power station works in a fixed place for a long time exposing to the waves, flows and winds. So it is hard to select the configuration of tidal power station, and some performance should be improved. This article focuses on the tidal power station considering the impact of the turbine, the hydrodynamic performance, structural strength and fatigue life of tidal power station have been investigated.There are six parts in this paper: (1) The achievement of tidal energy has been systematically reviewed and summarized in the trend of domestic and international. (2) The structure type of the tidal power station is determined after the comparison of technical parameters among two different structure types, "zhong" font is selected. (3) With the potential flow method, movement transfer function and load transfer function have been Obtained.And analysis of the motion and force, long-term forecasts have been made.(involved with damping of tidal turbine); (4) The design wave parameters have been got based on long-term forecasts; After the finite element analysis of tidal power station, based on relevant norms check the main components of the stress intensity. (5) According to the results of stress intensity, refine the mesh at stress concentration site; In the fatigue check site, 11 hotspots have been selected and fatigue life have been Obtained. (6) Making analysis of short-term sea state and wave direction angle on the degree of fatigue damage, to find out more dangerous sea conditions.In this paper, tidal power station is for a more comprehensive analysis. The results show that this type of tidal power station meets the requirements of the China Classification Society,meeting the job requirements. The research works in this thesis will provide reference for design of the same type tidal current power station in future.
