With the rapid development of China's power grid,the voltage level of the substation is also in the country continue to build and put into operation.The application of reactive power compensation technology is an important way to Improve the quality of power grid voltage and avoid the loss of electric energy.At present,the common reactive power compensation methods of the substation in the south of Hebei are mainly in the parallel capacitor group and the shunt reactor.However,SVG technology is a new type of reactive power compensation technology,which is the most advanced dynamic reactive power compensation technology in recent years.This paper is devoted to the research work of reactive power compensation strategy of substation,based on the summary of the development status of reactive power compensation technology,analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of each kind of reactive power compensation device.Finally,taking a 500 kV substation in Zhangjiakou area as an example,the design and research work of reactive power compensation scheme is carried out.The substation is the wind transfer set booster station.In order to solve the problems of random fluctuation of power output and large harmonic current caused by grid connected wind power,the power quality of the substation is promoted,and the reactive power compensation system is designed.In this paper,the reactive power compensation capacity and reactive power compensation capacity of the substation are calculated based on the power flow analysis.Then it is divided into two kinds of schemes,static reactive power compensation equipment and dynamic reactive power compensation equipment.According to the level of voltage variation under different power load,the reactive power compensation scheme with 1 sets of 3*60Mvar capacitor sets and 1 sets of ±60Mvar SVG devices is finally determined.Since the transformer substation was put into operation,the SVG device has stable operation and reliable operation.By using this technology,better maintain the stability of wind power base and system voltage,to provide voltage support for the system,effectively reduce the collection of booster station voltage fluctuation,ensuring the quality of electric energy and improve the base of the wind farm LVRT ability.
