As an important kind of production equipment,ABB UNITROL 5000 Excitation System of power plant unit's quality of components and the overall performance is one of the important factors,which directly affect the safe and stable operation,economic and full-blown of the whole unit.In addition,it also plays an important role in improving the stability of the power system in the area where the unit is located,as an important control system to improve the electrical regulating characteristics of the generator.In the past few years,many coal-fired power plants have occurred major accident trip,because ABB UNITROL 5000 excitation system faults,which grievously affects the safety of enterprise's annual production and economic benefits of the tasks.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out the UNITROL5000 excitation system of ABB industrial application and research units in thermal power plant.As a kind of practical technology system,the industrial engineering provides a set of convenient and feasible theoretical methods to improve the production process of the enterprise.Industrial Engineering,as application of technical system to combine technology and management,has always been to analyze and solve practical problems arising in the production system as a "responsibility".The subject is used to analyze the specific work procedures and appropriate methods and techniques according to the actual situation of the object and the needs of the problem,and find the best technical solutions and measures to improve and solve specific problems,ensure the overall effectiveness of the best object system.This paper is based on a thermal power plant ABB UNITROL5000 excitation system in the field of industrial applications.In the first place,the composition and function configuration of ABB UNITROL5000 excitation system are briefly introduced.The overall performance of ABB UNITROL5000 excitation system is analyzed and researched in combination with the hardware structure diagram,software logic diagram and related maintenance and repair test items of the excitation system.Furthermore,in the practice of the coal-fired power plant industrial applications,we analyzed the key,corresponding countermeasure research of optimization and improvement through the flexible use of industrial engineeringapplication technology system some of the thinking method and implement principle,for the typical security technology of ABB UNITROL 5000 excitation system' parts or design circuit.On the basis of the original system,the operation status and reliability of the ABB UNITROL 5000 excitation system of the power plant unit are improved remarkably.Eventually,this paper puts forward to technology solution to upgrade the control part of ABB UNITROL5000 excitation system into ABB UNITROL6800 excitation system from the equipment life cycle management in quality and industrial application of perspective.And the feasibility of retrofit scheme is analyzed and demonstrated,using the related theory of industrial engineering method for strive to retrofit scheme scientific and reasonable.After transforming of unit,the system has the advantages of higher redundancy,more advanced technology,more convenient maintenance,communication is more reliable,and also fundamentally solves the thermal power plant unit ABB UNITROL5000 "congenital" design defects existing in the excitation system,thus improving the overall performance of excitation control system to a whole new level.
