With the rapid development of China’s economy, the large-scale constructional engineering has been benefited from the important role of concrete, but the further development of concrete is seriously limited because of its poor brittleness and large self weight, etc. In order to perfect and improve these defects in concrete, many researchers are engaged in finding new materials to supplement or add to concrete, this improving the defects of concrete. And a lot of good methods are summarized. The light-weight aggregate concrete replaces the traditional aggregate concrete, and the fiber is mixed into the concrete, which greatly reduces the self weight and enhance the toughness and ductility. Also,it can well inhibit the development of concrete cracks, thereby improving the durability of concrete.Inner Mongolia is rich in pumice stone;so in this paper, the natural resource advantage in this area was used with the natural pumice stone in Jiining of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as the lightweight aggregate in concrete,so as to study the working performance, mechanical property and anti-frost property and the relationship between pore structure and anti-frost property of light-weight aggregate concrete with basalt fiber added. In terms of mechanical properties, this paper mainly studied the effects of different basalt fiber contents and length on the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of light-weight aggregate concrete. In terms of durability, this paper first studied the relationship between mass loss and relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of basalt fiber lightweight aggregate concrete sample under the water freeze-thaw cycle. Finally, the relationship between the pore structure of basalt fiber lightweight aggregate concrete and the freeze-thaw cycle was discussed via mercury injection test. The experimental study shows that the addition of basalt fiber within the reasonable range into light-weight aggregate concrete can effectively improve the mechanical properties and durability of light-weight aggregate concrete, which can meet the needs of practical engineering to a certain extent.
