Study On Mosque Buildings In AnHui

Anhui,a province with the Huai River flowing in the middle,and lower reaches of the Yangtse River,joining the Central Plains in the west and facing the coast in the east.As an important place of the Hui ethnic inhabitants,Anhui is the intersection of two routes of land and river the Islamism spread through.During the development of the Hui nationality in Anhui,it is deeply influenced by the Confucian culture because it has been immersed in Chinese area for a long time so the style of the Islamic mosque architecture in Anhui gradually grows out its own distinctive regional feature under multicultural influence.Now to summarize the development characteristics of Mosques in Anhui province is significant to carry forward national religious culture and promote the development of religious architecture in the situation that the rapid urbanization led to the decline of traditional buildings.This article takes mosques in Anhui as study then collects and analyses photos an d surveying data about the extant mosques in Anhui,consults correspondingly ancient l iterature and combines theoretical research and practice together.This article is divided into five chapters.At first,it introduces the purpose and significance and defines the o bject and method of the research.Secondly this article studies the development of the Hui nationality and mosques in Anhui in the perspective of sociology then induces and summaries the features of mosques in Anhui by religious study and sociology to obtain the features of mosques.Finally,finds out the current problems in relation to the archit ecture of mosques and works out correspondingly solutions which are friendly to the re gional architectural features in Anhui.
