| Chinese modern design should be rooted in its own national culture,featured with the characteristics of the times so as to form an original Chinese style that integrates our national character and the contemporary elements in an open international perspective.A designer,we should extract the characteristics of Chinese characters and combine them with modern architectural landscape design in order to create a new form of architectural landscape design that reflects the distinctive national character.In terms of the vitality of a design,only the national elements can be regarded as being international.The seal script,one of the ancient Chinese characters,has always been favored by calligraphers because of its beautiful font.Over the years,it always has been used in seal engraving because of its fluid stroke,odd and ancient form and twists and turns which could be used flexibly.Therefore,different effects may be shown if these features of Seal script are used in the architectural environment landscape design.This paper studied the features of the Chinese characters from the Qin and Han dynasties,explored and summarized the characteristics of Qin and Han characters,aiming to provide some new methods and ideas for the cultural transmission of the Qin and Han Chinese characters.On the basis of studying the inheritance and evolution of the Qin and Han Chinese character,this paper analyzed the visual characteristics of those characters in terms of the structure,color and material of the characters,summarized the writing techniques based on some successful cases as well as refine and recompose the application of the features of the Qin and Han characters in the landscape design of modern architectural environment landscapes.Finally,the paper discusses the conceptual design of the architectural landscape of the China Pavilion in 2020,and develops a concrete design method for the purpose of inheriting the culture of the Qin and Han characters. |
