Nowadays, our country is developing itself in a hurry speed, so how todeal with the contradiction between the economic development in rebuilding an old cityand the protection of scenic spots and historic resorts becomes an emergent and difficultproblem, which needs to think and discuss deeply. Regional culture is the soul of cityurban landscape, which as a communication carrier and belt of transition of a regionalculture should presents its function step by step. How to make the urban landscape toplay its role to present cultural characters naturally and finally make the cultural signssurvive together with surroundings is exactly the researching aim of the paper.Take the real program for example: the overall planning of the project ofHanzhong Xingyuan Lake is based on protection and usage. According to the design ofregional culture and following the principle of less addition to building, the naturalresorts are protected and developed by greening, views, water views, sculpture andembossment.
