TBM,as an advanced rail transportation equipment,is widely used in modern tunnel construction because of its advantages of high efficiency,safety,environmental protection,high automation and so on.However,the gap between China and foreign countries is still obvious in the research of key components of TBM.The cutter head is the key component of TBM,and the disc cutter,which arranged on the cutter head,is the main tool for breaking rock.The performance of TBM is directly affected by the normal working of cutter head.Over the years,a lot of work on the prediction of the performance of TBM cutter head and disc cutter have been done by researchers,including the research on the construction site,the laboratory test and the numerical simulation.Nowadays,the research on the cutter head is still of great significance.First,the TBM classification and system composition are introduced,the importance of TBM cutter head and disc cutter is analyzed.The related yield criterion of rock and the prediction model of broken rock are summarized.The model of rock in numerical simulation is selected.Second,the rock breaking model with different cutting depths and 2 types of double disc cutter rock breaking models are established,and the numerical simulation is carried out in the finite element software.Based on the numerical simulation results,the optimal cutting depth of single cutter rock breaking model and the optimal cutter spacing of the double disc cutter rock breaking model are determined.The rock breaking effect of 2 kinds of double disc cutter rock breaking models is compared,and the conclusion that the rock breaking effect of the double cutter synchronous rock breaking model is better than the one with the same specific energy ratio is obtained.Based on this,the average rolling force and specific energy of 2 kinds of double disc cutter rock breaking models are compared and the optimal cutting parameters are selected.Finally,based on the above established disc cutter rock breaking parameters,the cutter head structure is optimized,the arrangement of the disc cutter on the cutter head is adjusted,and the numerical simulation of the cutterhead tunneling is carried out in the finite element software.Combined with the CSM performance prediction model,the rationality of the choice of the ratio between the cutter spacing and the penetration ratio is verified,and the reference data for the design and manufacture of the cutter head which has certain reference value is provided.
