With the development of China's architecture,as a member of the new architectural firm,Trace Architecture Office(TAO for short)has made positive efforts on the exploration of local architecture design languages.Architecture In-situ is a design theory put forward by Hua Li-the host of Trace Architecture Office.It means try to find the adaptative strategy with the spirit of the site,the environment,urban and the user,under the condition of given site.Architecture In-situ focus on the space and the meaning of construction and the influence of the process to the social and the environment.Meanwhile,it hold a critical attitude to the symbol and the form in the consumerism of globalization.It also remain concern of the site,the material,the construction,the rational utilization of resource and so on.Through the combing with Hua Li's early architectural practice,the article expound the origin of Architecture In-situ.Based on the study of TAO's works,the article analyze the adaptative strategy of Architecture In-situ.It tells the specific feature when faces the three different environment-natural,countryside and city.Discuss the topic of the significance in site,the climate,the material,the construction,the rational utilization of resource.As a contemporary Chinese architect,Hua Li's exploratory practice in the inner connection of the regional,the tradition and the culture.It reach a result that the Architecture In-situ is a adaptive design.The article enhance the understanding of local design thought by Chinese architects.And discuss the development and the lack of Architecture In-situ in today's environment.It puts forward for the future of architecture theory and provides a practical significance for the contemporary architectural practice.
