Asphalt mixture,which holds excellent performances,is a kind of material for building high-grade highway pavement since the birth of that.As the changing of current traffic environments,better performance mixture is required.Dense skeleton asphalt mixture with large inner frictional resistance and appropriate number of fine aggregate plasma gel has well pavement performance.This paper,making a summary about gradation theories and methods in being,is based on the theory of GB5 asphalt mixture to propose the method,which fit to standard sieve mesh,of new skeleton interlocking asphalt mixture.In addition,by taking the method of laboratory comparative analysis test to verify the feasibility of that method.First of all,through summarizing present gradation theories and design method of asphalt mixture,aim at the theory of maximum density curve,this paper analyzed correlation between all of the methods from parameter value of those theories and methods views by virtue of fractal theory applying in asphalt mixture,then established the relationship between fractal theory and theory of maximum density curve.The design method of five kinds of dense skeleton gradation include Superpave?Bailey?CAVF?SAC and MDBG,last four methods among that is based on Weymouth particle interfering theory.Secondly,this paper introduced France GB5 asphalt mixture and the design method of that by the numbers,and recommended the wall effect and interaction effect incurred among two aggregates with differing yet one-dimensional individual sizes,also analyzed the law of mineral aggregate void ratio change by the particle ratio of course to fine,ultimately analyzed the equation of the designing method of GB5 gradation.Thirdly,on account of France new skeleton interlocking theory and making up specimen with Superpave gyratory compactor,this paper confirmed the basis parameters of design gradation and proposed a fresh way to design dense skeleton asphalt mixture.Finally,taking superior basalt and SBS modified asphalt to making asphalt mixture,at the same time contrasting GB5-13 which in terms of GB5 mineral aggregate gradation design method and SMA-13 that based on traditional Marshall design method.Laboratory assessment of such materials consisted of rutting resistance at 60??uniaxial penetration test?beam bending test?submerging test?freeze-thaw splitting fatigue test?uniaxial dynamic modulus test and four-point bending fatigue test.The results show that GB5-13 holds coarse mineral aggregate gradation,less amount of asphalt,higher compact-ability,well high temperature stability proved by rutting test and shearing resistance test,worse low temperature anti-cracking performance than SMA-13's,high level moisture resistance,high stiffness modulus showed through controlled-strain fatigue test,but lower fatigue life than SMA-13's,31% higher dynamic modulus at 20?-10 Hz.To sum up,GB5-13 that based on new Skeleton-interlocking Theory is cost-effective and has excellent comprehensive pavement performance,also with a certain popularization value.
