The green plant is not only the most important means of regulating the outdoor thermal environment,but also is the main content of current "sustainable,green,energy-saving" design concept.With the development of computer technology,there are a lot of microclimate simulation tools,the performance of these kinds of simulation tools is uneven,and the present study have not conduct a comprehensive evaluation and the classification of these simulation tools.Users lack of the basis for selection of simulation tool performance,so it is necessary to classify simulation tools system.Based on the impact of green plant effect evaluation index,this aritcle showed different simulation performance of different simulation tools with the same indicators input,summarized the characteristics of different tools and provided reference for users from the application level.This artical firstly arranged 3 mian calculation theory models of urban microclimate:radiation energy balance model,modified CTTC model and CFD model,by which more than 10 kinds of simulation tools can be classified.By sorting out the input and output characteristics of different tools,this article answered the question what different simulation tools can do.Combined with the specific green plant quantitative analysis index,This article reorganized the evaluation object is RayMan,SOLWEIG,DUTE,PHOENICS,ENVI-MET,FLUENT,to show detailed features of these tools and their applications and provide the basis for evaluation.Secondly,beginning with the study of green plant effects on the microclimate effect evaluation index,this artical established the evaluation index system:wind speed,air temperature,ground surface temperature,relative humidity,mean radiant temperature and other human thermal sensation index.In order to provide the theoretical basis for the evaluation,this artical showed the comparison and analysis of the corresponding output tools,and presented the different performance of different simulation tools when the same index is calculated.Moreover,through the analysis of case study,this artical designed a typical and general study case with 6 simulation tools for the simulation platform.Combined with the specific evaluation index of green plants,this article showed different performance of different simulation tools with the same input parameters and summarized their characteristics.Through this artical,in the simulation of wind speed and humidity field,3 kinds of CFD tools have a highly identical result,in the simulation of temperature field,the result of the ENVI-MET is higher than that of PHOENICS,the DUTE also has a resulet of certain accuracy,in the simulation of average radiation temperature,the result of the RayMan and the SOLWEIG is highly agreement,and the change trend is faster than the resullet of the ENVI-MET,in the simulation of other human thermal sensation index,the resulet is simular to the result of the average radiation temperature,in the simulation of WBGT,the result of the DUTE is lower than that of the PHOENICS.This artical finally summarized the characteristics of different simulation tools and the cross use research,summarized the different simulation tools application scale,applications area and screend out different simulation tools in different architectural engineering design periods with different demand from the application level,the RayMan and SOLWEIG are more suitable for the first period of architectural engineering design,the DUTE plays a good role in plan of promoting optimization and is more suitable for the second period,the PHOENICS,ENVI-MET,FLUENT and other CFD tools are more suitable for the final period,to provide reference for users.
