With the rapid development of economy,the transportation of materials among our country and all countries in the world becomes more and more frequently,railway because of its safety,fast,light pollution and other characteristics widely favored by everyone.Take our neighboring countries,North Korea,Mongolia,Russia,Kazakhstan and other countries for example,which only North Korea uses the quasi-track,the gauge of the rest of the countries is different from our country.This problem has brought great barriers for international transport and "The Belt and Road".As China’s research on the gauge-changeable bogie started late,there is no product into the line to use at present.Mainly through the way that change the bogie or wheelsets to solve the problem brought by different gauge for the straight running.But this approach not only reduces the efficiency of railway loading,transfer,and greatly increases the cost of transportation.Therefore,the development and production to adapt to the situation of China’s gauge-changeable bogie has been imminent,and the Ministry of Railways established a special project to study the variable gauge bogie in 2001.The Ministry of Science and Technology in 2016 also proposed to gauge-changeable bogie as a major project for researchThis paper is based on the study of the technical characteristics of the typical gauge-changeable bogie abroad,and the gauge-changeable locking mechanism is proposed that can be applied to the independent rotating wheel.And a set of ground gauge-changeable device is designed according to the structural characteristics of the gauge-changeable bogie.The structure and working principle of each part of the gauge-changeable device are introduced in detail.Due to the independent rotating wheels lack of self-steering capability,in this paper,we design the forced-steering mechanism of the gauge-changeable bogie.According to the design of the new gauge-changeable bogie,the dynamic model of the vehicle with independent wheel and forced-steering gripper is established in SIMAPCK.Based on《200km/h and above speed class EMU dynamic performance test identification method and evaluation criteria》and UIC-518,the linear operation stability,stationarity and curve passing capacity of the two gauge-changeable bogies on the 1435mm gauge are compared and analyzed,at the same time,the mechanism and reason of its performance difference are analyzed.The results show that the dynamic performance of the forced-steering gauge-changeable bogie is better.In order to ensure that the gauge-changeable bogie has good dynamic performance,the parameters of the bogie are analyzed optimally,as for Longitudinal stiffness of rotary arm positioning bush,Lateral stiffness of rotary arm positioning bush,Vertical damping of primary damper,Vertical damping of secondary damper,Lateral damping of secondary damper,Lateral stiffness of secondary suspension and the Steering gain.According to the optimized parameters,the linear operation stability,stationarity and curve passing capacity of the gauge-changeable bogies on the 1435mm and 1520mm gauge are analyzed and predicted.The results show that the dynamic parameters of the vehicle meet the standard requirements,the vehicle can not only run at a higher speed in the straight line,but also has good curve passing performance.
