Study Of Urban Traffic Congestion Detection Scheme Based On Traffic Flow Data

At present,the problem of urban traffic congestion has become one of the problems that hinder the development of world economy and urban modernization.And our country is due to the rapid economic development,leading to urban construction and road network construction cannot keep up with the pace of national development,which caused by social problems,environmental problems is particularly serious.Real time and rapid urban traffic congestion detection has become a major means to solve the problem of urban traffic congestion.By means of the real-time traffic monitoring technology to collect traffic data,and build traffic congestion detection model,which could detect the city traffic congestion occurs,and provide the basis for the processing system of city traffic,convenient traffic congestion problems solved in time.In recent years for the development of the city traffic congestion detection scheme quickly,relying on modern advanced traffic detection,monitoring equipment,to collect traffic data quickly,using a variety of feature extraction algorithm,to extract the vehicle speed change characteristics so as to design traffic congestion detection scheme.But in the face of more and more inefficient and original data the data collection methods,only depend on the vehicle speed and a few other features of traffic data have been unable to get results timely and accurate detection of traffic congestion.In order to detect the occurrence of urban traffic congestion more timely and accurately,this paper proposes a traffic congestion detection method based on traffic flow data.Through the classification of traffic flow data,extraction multidimensional congestion characteristics,it is purpose construct three layer congestion detection model,the triggering process of congestion detection type could reduce the consumption of processing time and estimation the degree of congestion,a more accurate detection of traffic congestion.At the same time,this paper also introduced another current rapid development of the city traffic congestion detection technology—— VANET(vehicle ad hoc network),through the researches on the future direction of the technology to solve city traffic problems.Finally,the performance of the congestion detection scheme is evaluated by the simulation experiment,and the research direction of the city traffic congestion detection is described.
