Precast Concrete Sandwich Facade Panels(PCSFP)(hereinafter referred to as: Sandwich Exterior Wall Panels)is a new type of Sandwich Insulation Composite Panels system.PCSFP is fabricated of the both sides of concrete wythes and in-between extruded polystyrene board(XPS)which were tied together with connectors.Sandwich Exterior Wall Panels is featured by its high thermal resistance,fireproof performance,good durability,etc.,as compared to other insulation panels.It can be prefabricated in a factory,so as to achieve high environmental benefits.Different from the brick filling wall in the cast-in-place concrete structure,the Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel often adopts the method of connecting the main structure by an external connection,that is why it is called Exterior Wall Panels.Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel and the main structure often adopt the way of connection for the upper line connection,lower limit connections,and wire connection to avoid the beam end plastic hinge area.In order to study the influence that connection mode of Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel has on the main structure of the dynamic characteristics and seismic performance,this paper designed and produced a precast concrete coupled shear wall S-1 with no Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel,which is used to contrast and two specimens S-2,S-3 with no holes or holes in Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel,and conducted a pseudo-static test.The test results indicate that the failure modes of the three specimens are similar: plastic hinges firstly appear in the end of beam,and then yield of wall limb;compressive failure appears concrete in beam and wall limb plastic hinge area;Through connection for the upper line connection,wire connection to avoid the beam end plastic hinge area and the bottom limit connections can achieve beam hinge yield mechanism,which is as same as precast concrete coupled shear wall without Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel.The horizontal oblong hole of the bottom limit connections can meet the sliding requirement of the bolt,and the connection design is reasonable and the installation quality is satisfactory.Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel has a slight increase in rigidity before the yield of the structure,and the peak bearing capacity of prefabricated framework with Sandwich External Wall Panel is also slightly higher than that of the form without Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel.The ductility of the three specimens is equivalent,and the displacement ductility is from 3.37 to 5.12.In addition,the test also studied the response and damage that the one-component sealants(SR SEAL NB50)and a two-component sealant(MS SEAL)have under the action of earthquake.The results show that two types of sealant in joins between Sandwich Exterior Wall Panel and foundation on the base begin to destroy when interlayer displacement angles are 1/92 and 1/138.In the small-earthquake and the intermediateearthquake,the sealant can meet the requirement of relative deformation between the external wall and the base.Based on the test,numerical investigation of the specimens was conducted by using ANSYS.And compared the skeleton curve,failure mode analysis,fracture development situation from numerical analysis to the test results.The results met well with the experiment indicating that the finite element models could predict the mechanical behavior and damage pattern of the specimens well,which can be used for subsequent further study.
