In recent years,air quality has attracted considerable attention.The persistent fog and haze weather in winter has severely disrupted people's health and quality of life.With the increasingly prominent environmental problems,the country has formulated stricter standard of boiler smoke and dust emission in thermal power plant,which has put forward higher requirements for smoke and dust emissions from the new coal-fired power plant or existing coal-fired power plants.The electrostatic precipitator of 1,2 unit in Wangqu Power Plant is designed in accordance with "thermal power plant air pollutant emission standards" which was implemented in 2004.This standard provides that dust concentration of coal-fired units should be less than 50mg/m~3.It is difficult to ensure that dust concentration of coal-fired units is not higher than 20mg/m~3 or 30mg/m~3 after long-term operation with the decreasing efficiency of electrostatic precipitator.Therefore,it is necessary to upgrade the electric precipitator of Wangqu Power Plant.In this paper,the transformation experience of electrostatic precipitator at home and abroad is learned,combined with the actual situation of Wangqu Power Plant,and four types of upgrading schemes are proposed.First,appropriate transformation of electrostatic precipitator is carried out,and bag filter is added to form an electric-bag composite dust collector.Second,bag filter and its supporting facilities are added.Third,electrostatic precipitator is upgraded.Fourth,wet electrostatic precipitator is added after desulfurization tower.The equipment investment,operation and maintenance costs and the annual cost of the four transformation schemes are compared.The cost of three-phase power transformation is the lowest by the economic analysis of different programs if three-phase power transformation can achieve environmental protection requirements.Therefore,the scheme of upgrading the original electrostatic precipitator is adopted.In order to further reduce the smoke concentration and improve the desulfurization efficiency of the unit effectively,demister transformation of desulfurization system was also carried out.The test results of the transformation reveal that transformation effect can achieve the intended target,and meet the latest emission standards.
