Research On Potential Evaluation And Optimization Strategy Of Urban Informal Public Space

Under the background of the "New Normal",the city's greenfield-based planning,which is characterized by extensive expansion,has been challenged severely,and some social problems have been raised.While the city's existing public space configuration is inadequate,unreasonable layout and construction is not timely,there are a lot of unused space and inefficient use of space.At the same time,the redevelopment planning,which is characterized by the attention of urban public space quality and progressive renewal,has received more and more attention.With the increasing demand for communication and activities,and the increasing awareness of independent action,more and more residents,from the bottom-up,occupy and utilize the original inefficient space in neighborhoods as for public activities.That is called urban informal public space,where the square dance space is particularly typical.This kind of activity space "demand-supply" contradiction and public initiative as a response to the phenomenon,reflects the informal public space optimization theory and methods for the rich development of the real demands.In response to this appeal,this paper,based on the analysis of the basic theory and the introduction of the new theory,constructs the potential mining method and evaluation system,explores the optimal design strategy,and further combines the case to carry on the demonstration.The main research is carried out from the following aspects:1)Synthetically using the theory of environmental behavior,space-behavior,study the space and time characteristics of informal public space from the perspective of space supply.Combined with the behavior of the activists and the spatial characteristics of influential factors,built potential evaluation model and spatial analysis method based on GIS to achieve the city's potential informal public space mining prediction.Based on the above explanatory research basis,construct evaluation system of potential area,and match the spatial demand and supply relationship.2)According to the characteristics of informal public space in the city,combined with tactical urbanism and place construction theory,a series of informal public space optimization design strategy is put forward.From the perspective of space use,according to different potential area of efficiency,the paper puts forward many kinds of efficient utilization strategy;From the active demand perspective,in view of the constraints of the existing space usage,environmental facilities improvement strategy has been proposed;From the point of view of support and security,this paper explore the combination of top-down and bottom-up active supply mode of informal public space,and puts forward the strategy of the cooperation network development.3)Taking the square dance space of Qingshan District of Wuhan City as an example,the paper analyzes the basic characteristics and use situation of the informal public space in the area as well as the demand and preference of the residents.Based on the results from the analysis,find out the potential regional distribution of the informal public space,verify and adjust the potential regional evaluation system.Then,using the potential evaluation model and spatial analysis method based on GIS has been built,further mining and evaluation the potential area.Finally,the conceptual design which aiming at the existing problem of informal public space potential area in Qingshan District is carried out to test the optimization design strategy.Then,further development of the optimization method of conceptual design,put forward urban informal public space design guidelines.
