| Block masonry is used widely as filler wall of modern architecture system in China.Concrete-tie-column is forced to be taken,connecting filler walls,on the necessary position for restraining displacement and crack propagation of filler walls.In the process of engineering practice for a long time,there are lots of common quality problems such as hard construction technique and quality of cast-in-place concrete project.The common materials and old technology is no longer fit for modern building materials and construction methods,not even green building design.Thus,a new kind of steel-tie-column is studied to replace general concrete-tie-column.It is an effective way to achieve industrialized production,on-site rapid assembly,reduce costs and asure engineering quality.Major works and findings,around steel-tie-column technologies in this paper,are summarized as follows:(1)Based on the practical engineering application of filler walls,four kinds of section of steel-tie-column are designed,which are used in straight walls,T-shaped walls,cross walls and L-shaped walls.Considered the most unfavorable situation in engineering seismic,steel-tie-column used in straight wall is studied to learn the stress characteristics and constraints of filler wall.Comparative tests of specimens with steel-tie-column and concrete-tie-column are carried out.According to the trials,ultimate bearing capacity of the specimens,the fracture morphology and the maximal displacement of walls and tie-columns,stress of tie bar,etc are analyzed and contrasted.It is proved that,under horizontal load,the displacement of wall is well restrained by steel-tie-column,superior to concrete-tie-column.Steel-tie-column and filler walls are connected reliablely.It shows a high coefficient of safety,for the displacement of steel-tie-column itself is very small and the stress is far less than the steel yield strength.(2)Theoretical analysis model of wall restrained by steel-tie-column is established by the finite element program ABAQUS.Results of the tests verify the reliability and accuracy of the theoretical analysis model.The stress characteristics and stress change rule of test specimens can be learned comprehensively,for the stress nephogram and displacement nephogram as the data supplement.(3)More finite element models are built to enlarge application range of steel-tie-column.There are 8 models,5~10m in length,2.5~4 meters in height.By comparative analyses on stress of steel-tie-column,displacement and PEEQ of filler wall,the danger points of specimen are easy to be judged.The results expatiated that the strength and stiffness of steel-tie-column meet application demands.The displacement of the middle point of filler wall increases with the length of wall adding.As the height of wall up,the displacement of the middle point of steel-tie-column increases,while the limit of displacement of wall edge reduced,.Suggestions to improve application and engineering construction requirements are put forward. |
