The Application Of Hmong's Folk House Decorative Elements In Modern Commercial Space Design

With the further commercialization of society,a lot of new works created with new materials and new technologies were seen in modern commercial space design.Although the requirements for nationalization,personalization and diversification have been drawing more attention,the application of national elements in commercial space design is still very rare.National characteristics are still a gap in the field of commercial space design.How to add traditional elements into modern commercial space will be a new direction of researches in the field of design.National elements are not only the essence of Chinese traditional culture,but also an important part of Chinese art history.Thanks to their strong vitality and continued creativity,they have been passed down from generation to generation.Therefore,introducing them into modern commercial space design will have great significance and research value for the whole design field.Hmong's cultural elements play an important part in Chinese national elements.Hmong is a nation with a long history,while its unique national culture and belief make its decorative arts very distinctive.Studying Hmong's decorative arts from the angle of modern design can not only help us discover new design elements,what's more,it can make them continuously inherited and innovated in the field of design.Inheriting and promoting traditional folk house decorative arts is a respect for and protection of traditional cultures,and also a way to find new development direction and provide innovation source for contemporary design.Hmong culture is originated and gathered in Hunan Province and Guizhou Province(the west part of Hunan and the southeast part of Guizhou).This article is mainly focused on the decorative elements of Hmong's folk houses in Hmong inhabited areas in Hunan and Guizhou.It studied the influence of these areas' natural geographical environments on the decorative elements of Hmong's folk houses,summarized the decorative elements in terms of totem pattern,decorative material,interior color and interior space layout,etc,and analyzed the application of Hmong's folk house decorative elements in modern commercial space design.Then it studied their development trends in modern commercial space design in order to make them integrated with and reflected in commercial space design,so that Hmong's folk house decorative culture could be inherited and promoted in modern design...
