The Pattern And Application Research On Decorative Components Of Traditional Folk House In Anshun

Folk house is a wonderful construction type with a large range of kinds. The house in Anshun, Guizhou Province is very simple but beautiful, which becomes specialty in locally traditional architecture. The art of its ornaments is much more splendid. The artistic charm of Anshun traditional folk house is endowed by its delicate carving and plentiful subjects in architecture, as well as a fertile imagination and honest emotion from people. Anshun has a long history and its geographic location decides its constructive importance. Now, my thesis specially studies the decorative components of the folk houses in Anshun. We have surveyed, plotted, analyzed and studied its ornaments by means of all sorts of methods, applied to theory and researching methods of architectonics, folklore, aesthetics, environtology and anthropology. From their pattern, flavour and technology, we can know the constructive culture of the folk house in Mid Guizhou. Finally, taking the folk houses in historic districts of Anshun, as an example, I would like to emphasize the importance of protecting the precious traditional ornaments of the folk house in Anshun, under the situation of a rapid disappearance on them nowadays.
