China has experienced regeneration of industrial structure and urban structure since 1990s,and existing industrial buildings has become the target demands prompt changes.To be removed,protected and reused are the three main destinies of these old buildings.Today,the public condemn mass-demolishing and mass-construction,while problems arised when consider reuse as the opposite side to protection.Nothing but combine protection and reuse,can improve the survival quality of these old buildings and make them served us better.So that protective reuse has become the tendency of existing industrial buildings' reconstruction.With the rapid development of green building,requirement of energy saving has been raised in the research and practice of existing industrial buildings' reconstruction.How to combine protection,reuse and energy saving,is the new question to be discussed.Exterior structure contains the most important and intuitive history information,it shows the characteristic of the building.It's no doubt that these information are worth protecting,but from the perspective of reuse and energy saving,there are conflicts between protecting history information and saving energy.How to weigh pros and cons,and find appropriate solution is the core of this question.This paper includes five parts:The first part is an introduction of the background,mainly tells the readers why I choose this research direction and why I limit the research contents to protective reuse.I also put forward clearly that the research is based on data collection.The second part introduces the energy-saving situation of exterior structure in existing industrial buildings' reconstruction and figures out the universal problems.The third part introduces and analyzes practical cases and technical measures from four aspects:heat insulation,natural lighting,natural ventilation and passive solar energy technology.The fourth part summarizes the strategy of using technical measures mentioned,concerning space,technique and the existing problems.The fifth part puts forward the expectation of future development.
