As the economy of China growing rapidly,people’s living level improves gradually,purchasing power has greatly enhanced and the quantity of cars in city increases dramatically,which are followed by the imbalance between urban roads and residents travel.Public transportation has the advantages of large capacity and small occupancy area per capita,it can relieve the contradiction between supply and demand of urban road traffic,public transportation attracts much attention of state and government,and relevant policies and regulations are gradually being perfect.Low fare has made contribution to improve the attraction of public transportation but low bus punctuality and poor service level make passengers behind schedule,on some level they reduce the attraction of public transportation.So based on the road resources and bus configuration,it is necessary to improve public transport operating conditions and then improve the attraction of public transportation which can relieve traffic congestion.Under the background of increasingly sophisticated development of public transportation,this paper explains the forming reason of bus bunching and summarizes existing methods,finally choses public transportation operation as research direction.It is not easy to take acceleration and deceleration control on the road because of traffic flow,stopping model is regarded as the research object,control measure is considered to improve bus operating conditions on the basis of the existing public traffic facilities,and then the destination of improving service level can be achieved.A brief introduction to the stopping theory is introduced,a few influence factors of stop time are analyzed.Formulas for calculating stop time is fitted according to survey data,it shows high accuracy and lays foundations for selective boarding limits model and combined control model.The forming reason and correlational research of bus bunching are analyzed and a single control strategy which is called selective boarding limits model is taken to relieve unbalanced headway when the confusion of bus system is not serious.The third chapter makes use of boarding limits to equal the two adjacent headways at the control point and build the headway control model.By making theory analysis and simulation in considering the situation of the control points,the effectiveness of control can be verified in theory through the simulation.The feasibility and effectiveness of the model is verified and contrast is made under the actual situation.And the conclusions that selective boarding limits model can make bus system stable faster and improve the efficiency are drawn.When the confusion is serious,a single control strategy can’t make state of operation system stable in a short time,so combined control based on bus holding and boarding limits is necessary,which can improve the running state of the buses from two aspects of slowing the fast buses and accelerating the slow buses.The passengers’ bus travel process is divided into running and waiting,running time can be calculated with distance and speed,so the fourth chapter regards the total waiting time of the whole passengers as objective function and try the best to make it small with the combined control model,in the end,simulation and contrast are made to verify the effect.The combined control model can achieve the global optimal and improve the travel efficiency of passengers.
