Landscape Performance Evaluation Of Classical Gardens

Classical gardens is a precious historical legacy of landscape resources,which not only has a unique landscape form and cultural connotation,but also contains important tourist resources,while the more prominent issue in conservation and development is the imbalance between the three elements of sustainability.Due to the increasing spiritual and cultural needs of people,Classical garden has become a hot spot of tourism development,but at the same time it brings considerable economic income,its heritage value and environmental quality have been greatly affected,thus affecting the sustainable development of classical gardens.Therefore,through the evaluation of the current protection and utilization of classical gardens,to find out the key issues,and thus promote the sustainable development of classical gardens has become the focus of this studyThe study adopts the theory of performance and sustainable theory,introduces the concept of landscape performance,constructs the evaluation index system of classical landscape performance by using entropy method,constructs evaluation model with fuzzy comprehensive method,and analyzes the comprehensive performance of classical garden,and judge the situation of sustainable development.Through the empirical research,the evaluation index system is adjusted and revised,and the suitable sustainable development strategy is put forward according to the results of the empirical research.By taking the four famous garden,such as The Humble Administrator’s Garden,The Lion Froest Garden,Lingering Garden,Canglang Pavilion in Suzhou as the object of empirical study,the results showed that:In the standard layer,the inheritance weight is the highest,which plays an important role in the classical garden performance evaluation system;The results of the comprehensive evaluation of the four famous gardens in Suzhou are in a “better”level,which shows that the current protection and utilization of the four famous gardens in Suzhou will help the sustainable development of the park;There is a big difference in the evaluation results of each criterion layer,among which,the performance of many indicators of Lingering Garden is more prominent than the other three gardens;The results of the empirical study verify the operability of the classical landscape performance evaluation system constructed in this paper.This study aims to provide a set of common classical landscape performanceevaluation index system and method tools,to evaluate the performance of classical garden performance,and to judge its sustainable development status,expect to provide reference for the sustainable development of the classical gardens of subsequent basis.
