Centrifugal pump as a widely used fluid machinery,widely applied in industrial production and our daily life.To enhance the efficiency of centrifugal pump can reduce the burden on the social demand for energy.With the rapid development of computer technology,conducting the numerical simulation on the internal flow field in centrifugal pump by using FLUENT software,opening a new way to understand and master the internal flow of centrifugal pump and make up for the deficiency of the traditional design method.The optimum design of centrifugal pump and the improved hydraulic performance has very important significance.This paper mainly make the following research work:(1)Introducing the research status of domestic and foreign development of centrifugal pump internal flow field and the development of commercial CFD software.The turbulence flow numerical simulation theory is introduced from the aspects of control equation,turbulence model problem and solution,turbulence model postprocessing and so on.(2)The basic theory of computational fluid dynamics is introduced,the basic characteristics of fluid and flow are expounded,and the basic control equations of hydrodynamics are given.(3)Using Pro/E software to carry on solid modeling of IS typed centrifugal pump overcurrent parts,establish the centrifugal pump three Dimensional model.(4)The numerical simulation of the centrifugal pump in the FLUENT environment is introduced.The numerical simulation of the turbulent flow in the centrifugal pump is carried out by MRF method.The velocity and pressure distribution of each overcurrent component under different working conditions are obtained,and reveal the internal flow pattern.(5)The effects of particle diameter and solid concentration on the pressure,velocity and solid-phase concentration distribution of centrifugal pumps were simulated by using the theory of multiphase flow in FLUENT.The conclusion is drawn that the main part of the main wear in the pump is near the wall end of the volute and the bottom of the volute,the impeller inlet blade face,which provides a theoretical basis for the study of centrifugal pump wear mechanism and centrifugal pump structure selection and optimization.
