Study On Design And Analysis Of Waterfront Landscape In “Love River” Of Kaohsiung

River is the origin of human civilization,and the development of human city is in inseparable relation with it.However,the development of cities’ industrialization causes serious pollution to the river which brings out the estrangement between man and the river.West countries start to study the river landscape theory research and practice earlier,and they make people go back to the riverside through exploring ecological design methods with paying more attention from the riverside public space to the revival of urban river.There has been a lot of successful experiences for reference.China has rich river resources,but research and construct the river development and revival late.Now the coastal area cities get more related studies but still exist some shortage.The concept of waterfront landscape is very broad,covering the coastal,lakeside,riverside,riverside landscape and so on.Currently,there are more domestic waterfront landscape researches than the water-front research.In this paper,we adopt literature analysis,comparative study,field exploration and the overall system research method to study urban water-front landscape.This paper also offer supports to Kaohsiung love riverside landscape research based on analysis summary of Taiwan other different types of urban water-front cases.The design analysis mainly from the historical development of love river,the overall planning,functional orientation,landscape analysis and so on.The following conclusions are drawn from the study:(1)A river reflects the life course of a city.This paper summarizes the geographical history of cultural and cultural characteristics through the analysis of the historical development of Kaohsiung and the love river : the downstream historical business culture and cultural construction resources,the middle reaches of the Hakka ancestral life sites and the upstream community street.(2)Designing urban riverfront landscape should base on the understanding of the river ecosystem and its relationship with the urban ecosystem.At the same time,due to the particularity of the river basin strip site,we must grasp the landscape space structure and layout and the relationship with the urban space.Using ‘point’ ‘line’ ‘surface’ of the landscape structure flexibly to design the people-oriented urban landscape which is proper for the ‘river’.(3)Love River waterfront scenery makes good use of the historical and cultural context of the surrounding environment,and is closely integrated with the city’s surroundings,and fully considers the activities of the nearby residents,which make it becomes one of the landscape of Kaohsiung city.
