| With the increase of social economy and people’s living standards,the demand of wireless power transmission is more urgent.Since the Magnetically-coupled Resonant Wireless Power Transfer(MCRWPT)appears,it has rapidly become one of the hot research topics for scholars and major companies at home and abroad,and a deep study has been conducted in the transmission principle and transmission characteristics.However,the study on power amplifiers that work in the MCRWPT frequency band are few.Most of the linear power amplifiers used in the study are of low efficiency and the work band is not appropriate.Therefore,it’s indispensable to design a high frequency power supply for MCRWPT system.Based on the introduction of MCRWPT technology and the key issues of high efficiency transmission,comparing the characteristics of all kinds of power amplifiers,Class-E power amplifiers has been chosen as front-end high frequency power supply of MCRWPT system.According to the requirements of the MCRWPT system,the performance index of Class-E power amplifier is presented.And then the design and simulation of Class-E power amplifier are completed,including the selection of switch transistor,setting quiescent operation point,stability analysis and simulation,circuit parameter design and simulation.This paper also designs signal generation circuit and PCB.The experimental prototype of E class power amplifier is tested.The experimental results show that the output-added-efficiency is higher than 80%,the output power is basically above 50W and the gain is between 24dB-25dB in the 5MHz-7MHz working frequency band.In addition,in order to study the applicability of the Class-E power amplifier,a series of different load were tested and the test results show that output-added-efficiency can be about 60%under the serious mismatch condition.It can be seen,this designed MCRWPT Class-E power amplifier is excellent.Finally,it is applied to the MCRWPT system,electrical energy is transported to the receiving coil. |
