A Research Of Functional Integration Design For Small Appliances

At present,in the small appliance product design,because of consumer demand,is rapidly expanding multi-functional small appliances,a multi-purpose both to meet the consumer demand for the use of the product,it also reflects their psychological expectations for high cost-effective product.But with the added versatility of small appliances,and its problems are gradually exposed:Many designers and corporate producers sided understanding "multi-functional",simplely stack the different product function,unclear product integration of function limit,there has been the function of the product mix properly,overlap,redundancy and other issues.Therefore,from the perspective of consumer demand and the value of the product,analysis the rationality of functional integration for small appliances,clear product function integration boundaries,in order to facilitate the function of small appliances effective integration design.Range and simplify product features are not blindly be considered is in line with the target user needs.Subjecting increase and blindly cut product features hat users do not need are undesirable.Take too much,making the product functional redundancy,idle and waste;abandon too,and resulting in insufficient function,can not meet the needs of users.Therefore,the product features at the beginning of the design should be clear boundaries of functional integration product,the product of a rational allocation of functions,planning and integration,the purpose is to make the product features to adapt to the changing needs of the consumer.The subject by analyzing the product features,product features categories,product feature definition and related factors influence product features integration which include consumer demand,technological developments,such as semantic form,and then summarize the reasonable function of small household electrical appliances,construct the valuable objectives of function.Combined with the functional integration design status of small appliances,analyse the potential user needs,according to the corresponding problem is proposed to realize the effective way to optimize the function of small household electrical appliances integration,clear boundaries and content of product function and reasonable,and the paper sums up these approaches,form the Small household electrical appliances reasonable function integrated design strategies.In the design of the project on the hand-held steam brush,import the valuable objectives of function,finally,make the example certification for the design strategy,finally,the paper summarizes the content of study and research work in the next prospect.This paper is divided into five parts,the first chapter mainly introduces the topic background,research status,research significance and method;the second chapter outlines the theory of product function integration,mainly introduce the concepts of product function definition,its content and method of function integration position,analysis of the product function integration value and related factors of function integration.The third chapter is mainly analysing the existing situation of function integration for small household electrical appliances,finding out the causes on the function of product mix properly,overlap,redundancy.Combined with the examples of products the fourth chapter proposed the small home reasonable function integrated design strategy and value target.The fifth chapter will be a corresponding value goal and design strategy is applied to a hand-held steam brush design project,and summed up and to look forward to future developments.
