The constant volume combustion bomb is an important experimental device for studying combustion processes of the engine.With engine bench experiments and numerical simulations of combustion,it can provide a comprehensive analysis of the processes and give guidance on the design of the combustion chamber of the engine and the control strategies of fuel injection and ignition,etc.In order to improve the applicability of the constant volume combustion bomb in scientific researches,this paper introduces a multifunctional constant volume combustion bomb which can be used in the research of premixed combustion and spray evaporation combustion,which meets different fuels,different ignition modes and different combustion modes.This paper mainly introduces the constant volume combustion bomb whose function can be further expanded,fuel injection and exhaust system,heating and temperature controlling system,ignition system,timing control system,schlieren system,data acquisition and control system,etc.Based on the STC12C5A60S2 microcontroller and ignition coil driver VB325SP,electric spark ignition drive circuit was designed and this paper introduces the principle of spark ignition circuits and different electrode discharge conditions with different ignition gaps.Based on the MP4623 data acquisition card,the data acquisition and control system was built and the control program of the test-bench about premixed combustion in the bomb was written on the base of Lab VIEW.In the last,heating and temperature controlling system,ignition system,data acquisition system and optical schlieren system were debugged together,laminar flame propagation schlieren images and combustion pressure curves of the ethanol-air mixed gas in the bomb are recorded,which confirm the reliability of the constant volume combustion bomb system.
