Research On Product Function Combination Design Based On Functional Redundancy Analysis

The existing Function Combination Design(FCD)focuses on reconfigurability of products,with the aim to reuse of the components of the parent products.However,analysis of redundancy of functions and carriers between parent products is deficient.It is important to identify and remove the redundancy in FCD.As to the above problems,a FCD method based on functional redundancy analysis is proposed to analyze the redundancy between parent products.Study on functional extension,carrier distribution and variant design of functional carriers in subsequent design is performed.A prototype system for product design,analysis and solution is developed which includes the following tasks:1.Analysis of redundancy among products.Extract functional elements from physical structure of parent products,and create the functional structures of parent products by new function decomposition method based on energy,material and signal.Build functional redundancy matrix of products and redundancy matrix of carriers,and intuitively analyze redundancy between functional units and carriers before redundancy classification and corresponding handling methods.2.Solutions to combined products conceptual model.Increase auxiliary functions by analyzing function expansion;create a function carrier matrix to enable matching analysis between functions and carriers;construct design structure matrix to perform correlation analysis between carriers;explore conceptual models of products by data analysis;feasibility of solution is verified via the sticker remover.3.Based on the aforementioned theoretical methods,a prototype system ofproduct function combined analysis and solution are developed,which can be used to auxiliary solution of the conceptual design of composite products.The validity of prototype system is verified via the sticker remover.
