Research On Method And Application Of Function-Oriented Conceptual Design

With the globalization of economic development, the competition in domestic mechanical market is becoming increasingly severe. In order to keep company's advantage in the competition, we must enforce innovative capability, shorten design cycle and increase degree of customization. At the same time, we have to reduce cost, maintain quality of product and good after-service. Conceptual design of product is justly a very important process that can meet these demands, and determine the key technology in the process of design.Function design of product is very important in the conceptual design, the substance of concept design process is a realization of function definition, function analysis, function combination and function structure of product, and a process of precept that is optimized. The function model of the product carries on description and expression to the function language and the function behavior of the product, which play an important role in the product design and the analysis.It is important to establish reflects between the function and the structure,for the realization of the function structure in the concept design.It is the detailed description of principle solution of the function request.The main research of this thesis is that conceptual design process model is set up based on function modeling and effect, and use for conceptual design of the rubber bobbin cutter.In the thesis, first, introduce the concept design of related designed theories,concept, strategy and characteristics etc . Second, elaborate the function, function base, and function structure etc. in function modeling. Bring forward a set of function modeling method, based on a research into technique of function modeling. Third, by the mapping relations between function, effect and example, transitions are fulfilled between the required function, the principle realizing the function and structure realizing the principle, and the FEE model for the conceptual design is set up. Fourth, according to above theories and methods, develop conceptual design computer aided software. Finally, Analysis of the rubber bobbin cutter, and validate the concept design project.The main innovative points of this thesis:(1) Bring forward a new method of function modeling of function tree decomposition.(2) Use the effect carries on the conceptual design which based on the function modeling.(3) Carry out the conceptual design method which based on function modeling and effect by computer aided software.
