With the development of society and economy and the development of the city, the water supply pipe network facilities continue to expand and upgrade, the management of water supply information is also becoming increasingly heavy. The current management system of water supply enterprise has been unable to meet the needs of the development of information and digital water supply enterprises. Therefore, in order to achieve comprehensive and accurate analysis, management and operation scheduling of network data, we need a combination of modern computer technology, developed a combination of a set of water supply pipe network geographic information system for the water supply network management decision analysis to provide scientific data by means of advanced.In the process of design and implementation of Geographic Information System( Geographic Information System, referred to as GIS) of water supply network in Shenyang Hunnan area, First, we do a full investigation of the water supply network operation and management situation of Hunnan district, respectively from the business requirements, functional requirements, performance requirements and environmental requirements of the four aspects of the current water supply network, the information management behind, poor overall planning and other issues,which proposed Specific functional requirements for the design of GIS system, planning out the overall design framework.The system adopts component technology development, carrying on the secondary development based on Arc GIS platform, using B/S and C/S combination, the final realization of underground pipeline data dynamic large-scale, converted to digital, operable and sharing information resources.Technology, model analysis technology, module integration technology, network security technology analysis through this platform established by the comprehensive use of water supply network geographic information system database, including data acquisition, recording and editing, data processing and storage management and display the basic functions and results output, query and statistics and spatial data of map making.Finally, through the practical application, the implementation of the design scheme is realized. Project has been developed by Shenyang Hunnan district water supply pipe network GIS system based on, the realization of the GIS Thematic service applications include data management, network analysis function, mobile rescue and pipeline inspection, pipe damage accident of archives management. Through practical implementation results show that the development of GIS system will be able to meet the functional requirements of urban water supply enterprises, provide perfect, high quality and high efficiency of geographic spatial data service for Shenyang Hunnan district water supply network planning, construction, management and various social sectors.
